We launched for a Monday morning double dive on a very low tide with thick fog. Sublime surface conditions. We "Visited the vatican" , and dived Pope's nose and Pope's toes on a double dive. There was absolutely no surface current or wind, reading zero movement on the GPS. We were surrounded by patches of red tide, and a large fish popped up to investigate the boat during dive 1. Tried to see what it was but it was gone too quick. On the second dive, they spotted a dusky shark. There were also plenty leopard cat sharks and puff adder shy sharks in the area. When the fog lifted, it was very hot, and after the second dive concluded we headed straight for the beach. Bottom was chilly a 11C in one spot and 14C in another. Viz on the reef was 3 to 4m. There were some dead purple seaweed in the gullies, due to the sudden temperature changes over the last month. Overall a great experience and resulting in happy divers!
