Just before the surf arrived on Wednesday morning, @patrickdevine19 contacted me for a guided spearfishing outing. Patrick is taking a well deserved holiday after wrapping up school in the US, and decided to pop in to Jeffreys Bay before heading to Namibia. He is an interesting and easy going individual that has visited 20 countries since November last year, who is also a surf board shaper. We had a look at the forecast and opted for a shore entry at Cape St Francis. After giving gear a once over and repairing a rubber band, we hit the water just before mid day. The dive was quite comfortable, with mostly top to bottom visibility, apart from the sandy patches close to shore. Our efforts were rewarded and we both had some fresh fish for dinner.
