After waiting for the ocean to relax a bit for two days, it was time for another dive charter and ocean safari combo on Wednesday 5 March. (Contact Paul now 083 521 5093) Our patrons hail from the US leaving snow and winter behind to come and enjoy South African sun and fun. We had a fantastic dive on Walls, with top to bottom visibility. The top was 20°C and the bottom was 19°C! That is very comfortable for our waters. We got a visit from some small hammerhead sharks, as well as a gully shark. Lots of fish life and interesting topography. After the dive, we headed to the fishing fleet, who had very few crew on the deck because they were all sleeping as everyone worked through the full moon night. The. we headed to Kabeljouws and cruised in the shallows on the coast line passing Albatross, Lower and Upper Point, Tubes, coins, salad bowls, Supertubes, Boneyards, Magnatubes secrets etc. With the tide so low, "seekoei klip" (hippo rock) was completely exposed. We also waved at the Strandloper staff on the way past Magnas.l, where we had lunch after the charter. A very enjoyable day.
