After two days of onshore winds, the weather and waves gave us a quick gap on Friday, 30 December, for our final dive of 2023 on Pope's nose. The upwelling surprised us, and we did not go prepared for the very cold bottom temperatures after we passed through the thermocline. We still spotted some amazing things and had a hammerhead pup greet us on the surface, and we had decent bottom visibility. Today, @paulvanjaarsveld we did not dive due to a bit of swell that arrived, but joined @nsri_station37_jbay and on a jetski run organized by @stfrancis_yamaha . The water is already a bit warmer compared to the previous day and is looking very clean. We aim to dive again on Tuesday, 2 December 2024. Give Psul a call or whatsapp on 083 521 5093. See you on the other side!
