About last night... After wrapping a morning of diving and Keith with his RAID Open Water 20 pool sessions, @paulvanjaarsveld had a look at the weather and ocean and prompted our WhatsApp group to do a night dive, as all the elements aligned. Three responded and we got together at 6pm at the regular spot. Spectacular sunset to start with, and a mirror flat ocean. We ended up doing a blissful 45min dive on JAG, getting visits from a large Bronze whaler that Timothy and Keith observed breaching, who also bumped into Damon, who now saw his first shark while diving! A school of Bonitos were chasing sole smaller fish at the verge of our visibility. The water was very comfortable with the coldest temp measured at 16°C. Visibility was around 10 to 15m, and when looking up we could see the flasher on our surface marker. When we sat on the safety stop, we were reluctant to return to the surface and all agreed we should have brought another cylinder for a double dive. We all returned to land in wonder, amazement, feeling peaceful and excited.
