Excellent dive conditions prevail. (Call us now at 083 521 5093 to book. )Sabine and Gerhard joined us today for their first SCUBA dives in Africa. The water was 21°C on the surface and 20°C at 18.2m. We dived on Raggies Rest and surfaced after 46 minutes. Thousands of fish everywhere with multiple sightings of very curious yellow belly rock cod, knife yaw, miss lucy, red roman and several species of Nudibranchs. Visibility was 15m+ and the dive site was very interesting. Our second dive we moved a little closer to shore in the area between Marindas and Walls. It was a bit more sandy, but otherwise very similar conditions with good light penetration and no thermocline. We broke the surface after 40 minutes. Sabine and Gerard only qualified recently and it was their first time rolling backwards and also doing a surf launch. They enjoyed the experience very much and we could see they had solid training, with only 11 dives on their logs. We were glad to add numbers 12 and 13 with J-Bay SCUBA.
