We finished the month of February on a high note, with four fantastic dives. (Contact Paul 083 521 5093 to book dives or courses.) The water has started to warm up again after we had a 10°C bottom temperature two weeks ago.
On Wednesday we went hunting for some nudis at the "Vatican", accompanied by Jeff (a fellow sailor from the US), Grant (an ex-pat from the UK who is visiting), and Hesma, one of our local divers and Bronwyn, a commercial diver from PE. We visited Pope's Nose and Pope's Toes. @hesmafivaz accidentally dropped her prescription mask, and our second dive turned into a perimeter search. Unfortunately, we couldn't find it, as the current probably pulled us off the mark.
Today we had two lovely dives with Paul, Damon, and Dillan. The launch was so easy that we didn't even encounter any breaking waves! We dropped on Deep End (25 m, 34 min, 14°C bottom, dirty thermocline, and clean 8–10 m viz) and dive 2 on JAG (14 m, 41 min, 16°C bottom, 10 m viz).
Damon had his GoPro rolling the whole time, and we look forward to seeing what the footage looks like. Fish were a bit skittish on dive 1, but on dive 2 there was an abundance of fish, including a big yellowbelly rockcod, Miss Lucy, a diamond ray, some kob, etc. Did we mention the dolphins?! #divelife #jbayscubadiving
