Jeffreys Bay diving forecast 24 April 2025 to 20 Feb 2025

We havn't done a forecast in a while. Paul was away on an unplanned sailing trip, but otherwise we dived once or twice per week. There was quite a bit of rain, and the ocean had a couple of days to settle down again. Here's the outlook for 24 April to Friday 2 May 2025

Thursday, 24th April, 7am: Another great day for diving! Waves are a bit smaller at 1.2m and come every 6.2 seconds. The wind is lighter at 3.9 knots, but watch out for gusts up to 12.4 knots. Water temperature is a bit cooler at 17.2°C, and the wave energy is lower at 1.1kJ.

Friday, 25th April, 7am: The dive conditions remain awesome with waves reaching 1.5m, coming in every 8.1 seconds. Wind is slightly stronger than yesterday at 4.2 knots (gusts at 4.5 knots), with 17.7°C water temperature and 2.2kJ wave energy.

Saturday, 26th April, 7am: Conditions are still superb for diving. Waves are slightly higher at 1.7m, coming in every 9.4 seconds. Wind is blowing at 6.4 knots with gusts at 5.9 knots. The water is 17.6°C, and wave energy is a bit higher at 3.3kJ.

Sunday, 27th April, 7am: We're in for another sublime morning dive with 1.3m high waves, coming every 7.5 seconds. Wind is at 5.4 knots (gusts at 3.5 knots), water is a warm 17.9°C, and wave energy is 1.6kJ.

Monday, 28th April, 7am: Waves are a bit smaller at 1.0m, coming every 5 seconds. The wind is stronger at 11.3 knots with gusts peaking at 6.6 knots. The water is a touch warmer at 18.0°C, and wave energy is at a low 0.6kJ.

Tuesday, 29th April, 7am: Conditions are sublime again with larger 2.0m waves, coming in every 5.5 seconds. Wind is moderate at 4.7 knots (gusting 7.3 knots), water temperature is still 17.9°C and wave energy is higher at 4.1kJ.

Wednesday, 30th April, 7am: Conditions aren't perfect, but still good for diving. Waves are bigger at 3.1m, coming in every 7.5 seconds. The wind is stronger at 12.0 knots (gusting to 18.2 knots), with cooler water at 17.0°C and high wave energy at 8.8kJ.

Thursday, 1st May, 7am: Still not perfect, but good for diving. Waves are slightly smaller at 2.8m, coming in every 9.2 seconds. Wind is much stronger at 16.8 knots (gusting to 24.4 knots), water is cooler at 15.7°C, and wave energy is high at 8.9kJ.

Friday, 2nd May, 7am: Conditions are still good for diving, even though they're not perfect. Waves are high at 3.9m, coming in every 11.8 seconds. Wind is blowing at 9.5 knots (gusting to 14.7 knots), water is still 15.7°C, and wave energy is very high at 22.0kJ.
