Jeffreys Bay · St. Francis Bay

Dive with J-Bay SCUBA

Local dive centre for boat charters, RAID training, gear and air fills. Reefs here are busy with life year-round — interesting topography, and mostly still under-dived. We surf-launch from Jeffreys Bay Main Beach, and run seasonally out of Port St. Francis.

Why dive Jeffreys Bay

If you have never dived the Eastern Cape, you are in for a treat. The reef is temperate volcanic rock with sand patches — gullies, walls, hard and soft coral, sponges. Very few people dive these waters. Expect ragged-tooth sharks (mellow), blue-spotted rays, yellowbelly rockcod, cuttlefish, nudibranchs, and the odd species nobody has a name for yet.

We have put in the years on these sites. Surf launches from Main Beach, experienced rescue coxswains as skippers, and flexible days when conditions line up — weekdays included.
