Dive Log - 15 May 2011

thumb_dscf1298Due to maintenance on the boat we didn't launch last weekend although it was perfect weather for diving. On Sunday I did a dive with ODI at Fort Raggie at 15:00 in the afternoon. The visibility was about 15m and the temperature was 17deg. A per usual the dive site stood up to its name and we saw

about 6 young raggies and one adult. Some yellow tail come to say hi and Jaco spotted 2 huge rays. Loads of yellow belly rock cods, big cape knifejaws, double sash butterfly fish and as always hundreds of Frans Madam. One of our best dives so far for the year.

On Saturday the 28th Sunday the 29th we will be launching from Noordhoek Skiboat Club. For directions please go to www.nsbcpe.co.za. First launch is at 08:00 and the second at 10:00. Boats are filling up quickly so don't wait too long to book your dives. Launch for Saturday at 10:00 is already fully booked. Weather permitting we might do a third launch at about 12:30. Remember to inform me if you require any equipment when you book your dives. Dives for the weekend are only R 100-00 each. Cylinder rental is R 50-00 per dive and equipment is only R 100-00 per dive.
