Jeffreys Bay diving forecast 8 Jan 2025 to 15 Jan 2025

Excellent diving conditions prevail. There's a bit of wind on the 8th and 14th which means we may only do a an early single morning dive on those dates, but otherwise pristine diving conditions. (We also do ocean safaris, surf safaris and spearfishing outings.) Full forecast below:

Wednesday, January 8th - Still sublime conditions, but be aware of 2.8m waves, wave periods of 6.3 seconds, and a bit of a breeze at 14.2 knots (gusting to 18.9 knots). Water's a tad warmer at 22.5°C, and wave energy is 6.4kJ

Thursday, January 9th - Excellent conditions again. Prepare for 3.0m waves, longer wave periods of 8.6 seconds, barely a breath of wind at 1.5 knots (gusting to 2.3 knots), the same water temperature as yesterday, 22.5°C, and a higher wave energy of 9.4kJ.

Friday, January 10th - Still great conditions. Expect 2.5m waves, wave periods of 6.2 seconds, wind at 7.5 knots (gusting to 10.5 knots), slightly warmer water at 22.8°C, and wave energy of 4.8kJ.

Saturday, January 11th - Excellent conditions continue. Anticipate 2.6m waves, wave periods of 7.1 seconds, wind at 6.1 knots (gusting to 7.0 knots), water temperature inching up to 22.9°C, and wave energy of 5.8kJ.

Sunday, January 12th - Not perfect, but still good for diving. Prepare for 3.1m waves, wave periods of 8.9 seconds, wind at 6.6 knots (gusting to 10.1 knots), and the water temperature remains steady at 22.9°C. Wave energy is a bit higher at 11.0kJ.

Monday, January 13th - Back to excellent conditions. Expect 2.7m waves, wave periods of 7.1 seconds, a brisk wind at 9.4 knots (gusting to 13.3 knots), water temperature steady at 22.9°C, and a wave energy of 6.7kJ.

Tuesday, January 14th - Not perfect, but dive-friendly. You'll see 1.9m waves, wave periods of 6.2 seconds, and a wind at 17.4 knots (be aware of gusts up to 24.7 knots). Water temperature hasn't changed, still 22.9°C, but wave energy is lower at 2.9kJ.

Wednesday, January 15th - Still good for diving. Anticipate larger 3.8m waves, wave periods of 6.3 seconds, wind at 7.3 knots (gusting to 9.2 knots), a warmer water temperature of 23.4°C, and a high wave energy of 11.2kJ.
